It’s finally done - Jimmy Nicholson has decided on a winner after much back and forth on The Bachelor.

After contemplating who would be the better match for him, Jimmy said a very heartbreaking farewell to Brooke, and gave Holly the news she had been dying to hear during Thursday night’s season finale.

As is always the case with a show that is filmed months before it airs, viewers were left wondering: are the couple still together?

Well, with both Jimmy and Holly taking to Instagram shortly after the finale wrapped to post gushing tributes to each other, it’s safe to assume they’re still going strong.

The pair were equally as smitten in comments to the Daily Telegraph, with Jimmy telling Confidential: “That is me done, I am hanging up my boots. We have talked about marriage extensively. I am trying to bring her down on the kid front, she’s telling me she needs three years and I think I have got her down to two.”

He added: “Kids, marriage, it is definitely all on the cards.”

Meanwhile, Holly told the Daily Telegraph she had no issue watching Jimmy kiss other contestants while watching the series on TV.

“He was amazing,” she said. “He would call me in every ad break and say, ‘I love you and it is just you and I’.”

Jimmy recently bought a two-bedroom unit in North Bondi, and the pair is reportedly moving in there together next month.

“Relationships involve work, yes, but I think love should be easy,” Jimmy told the camera before choosing Holly during the finale. “And I can honestly say that falling in love with Holly is definitely one of the easiest things I’ve ever done.”

“Holly…when I think of a future with you, it’s exciting, it’s fun, it’s passionate. You make anything we do incredible and you light up any room you’re in.

“For me... love is getting home from a tough day at work together and cooking. It’s me leaving a note on your pillow when I know I’m not gonna be there when you get home. It’s having a fight, making up and growing from it. And I can’t wait to experience all of these things with you. And that’s what... That’s what this ring represents,” Jimmy says, handing her a Larsen Jewellery handcrafted champagne-coloured diamond ring.

Jimmy helped design the ring, which features a 2.01ct oval centre diamond, layered with 10 round brilliant cut diamonds in the hidden halo.

The diamonds are set in 18ct rose gold which beautifully complements the warm tones of the oval centred diamond. The six marquise-shaped side diamonds are arranged in a completely unique way.
