Dorsey posted a pic of Rivera and Josey, and he began his lengthy statement by writing: “This is so unfair…there’s not enough words to express the hole left in everyone’s hearts. I can’t believe this is life now. I don’t know if I’ll ever believe it. You were just here… We were just in the back swimming with Josey the day before. Life just isn’t fair.”

The Ray Donovan actor continued: “I don’t know what to say… I’m thankful for our times and our journey that brought us together and gave us the sweetest and kindest smart little boy we could ever hope for.”

Dorsey recalled the times that Rivera used to get annoyed with him and tell him to stop snap chatting. He says he is glad he didn’t listen to her because now he has hundreds – and probably thousands – of snaps and videos that Josey will have forever.

The actor says that those snaps and videos will show their son that his momma loved him more than life, and he will see how much fun they had together when he was growing up.

Dorsey wrote that life is all about good times and bad times, but Josey makes the bad a little less because his presence means a part of Rivera will “always be with us.” He promised that his son would never forget where he came from, and they miss Rivera and will always love her.

Dorsey also thanked everyone for their overwhelming love and support, and he pleaded for everyone to be kind to themselves and others. He advised to simply “forgive, forget, and don’t hold grudges.”

He explained that if you don’t have anything nice to say, maybe try not saying anything at all. Dorsey says there is a peace in silence, and time on Earth is precious.

“You just never know….you never know what could happen. Hold your loved ones close, and cherish the times you have with those you care about,” wrote Dorsey.
