Jason Aldean continues to produce hit song after hit song, but there always seems to be a dark cloud hovering over him no matter how successful his music is. For twelve years, Aldean was married to his high school sweetheart Jessica Ussery with whom he has two kids. Last year, photos surfaced of Aldean kissing ‘American Idol’ contestant Brittany Kerr at a Los Angeles bar. It was a scandal that rocked Aldean’s career and perhaps will keep that dark cloud around his name for quite some time.
In a recent interview with Robin Roberts for ‘Good Morning America’, Aldean opened up about his infidelity. “It’s one of those things where, you know, you go out and you’re just hanging out. You know, obviously there were things going on in my marriage at the time where it just wasn’t really happy. You go out and you kind of let your guard down a little bit and things happen, and unfortunately … it’s tough.”
I don’t think there’s anyone on planet earth that will be satisfied with that response from Aldean. He went on to say that he left the bar alone and was grateful there were photos that showed him getting in a car with his buddies. (Yea, that makes everything better Jason). Seven months after the incident Aldean filed for divorce. Needless to say that dark cloud isn’t going anywhere…
