A funny anecdote from Atletico Madrid-supporting nurse 'Rouss' has touched the hearts of many that have read it on social media.
Her post about a 'converted' Real Madrid coronavirus patient in an ICU has received more than 8,000 retweets and around 70,000 likes.
"The last patient in the ICU has started to speak," she wrote on Twitter.
"He's a Real Madrid fan.
"I said to him as a joke that the first phrase he should say to his family should be 'Aupa Atleti'. We laughed.
"His son comes in. After two and a half months without talking, he says: Aupa Atleti.
"He looks at me. We laugh. I start crying."
MARCA spoke to Rouss about the story and her love for Atletico Madrid.
"When [the patient] let me know who he supported, I printed off a Real Madrid badge and stuck it on the window so he could see it," she said.
"Sometimes, you have to say 'Forza Atleti', I joked to him when he couldn't talk.
"'I'm really a Madridista, but I like Atleti,' he told me afterwards.
"When he was finally able to express himself, he said 'hello' to me and I reminded him [about saying 'Aupa Atleti' again.
"Firstly, he said it to me and I challenged him to say it to his family too.
"I didn't think he was going to do it at all.
"'I can't believe it,' said his son when he heard it.
"[My love for Atletico] comes from when I was younger, from my father, who died 14 years ago.
"He would take my to their stadium, although not very often because he had a bar and he was working."
